I haven’t been here for quite some time. I know crazy, right? The last four months have been a blur, an exhausting but joyful blur. This summer, the weather was excellent; great show weather. I would rather travel in 100 degree weather than 50 degree rainy weather.

Lets see. We have been south to Medford for the Barnstormers Vintage Fair for our second year. This was such a great show. The topping on the cake was a visit from my favorite Army Paratrooper, my son Ryan. And let me tell you, you can never have too much help at shows of this size. My brother Shawn built and assembled our store walls and longtime dear friend Tina came along to help us put it all together. And of course, my husband Mark, the numbers guy, the calm to my storm and a very important role in Rekindled Restorations.

Followed by Medford, was a trip east to Redmond for the Roses & Rust Vintage Market. This was the first show here for Bonnie and her crew and it was a success. We met so many new friends and peers as well as visits with those we have met along the way. When you are on the show circuit, you see a lot of familiar faces. It’s always good to catch up.

Our final travel show this year was the Coburg Antique Fair. If you haven’t been to this one day extravaganza, you are missing out. If you told me the day before that I would be sleeping in our cargo trailer the night before, in order to help the 3:45am customers that would converge on our booth, I would have told you that you were nuts. I guess I am the nutty one. That is exactly what happened. Worn out, too old to sleep on the floor, but totally worth it.

A few weeks ago, we had our annual Autumn Harvest Market next door at Laurel Studios here in our hometown, followed by a Fall event at the Rusty Porch in Springfield a week later. This weekend, we travel around the block to our friends at Word of Mouth Home Decor store for their Fall Gathering Event. Literally, around the block. Drive time, 40 seconds.

Which brings me to close. No matter where you are, if you are willing, you will meet friends along the way. Life is too short and you can never have too many friends.

Be happy in what you do.
